From Zipolite Bus Travel
From Zipolite you can reach Pochutla where you find the coastal bus running bus routes on Route 200 south to Huatulco or north to Zicatela Beach, and Puerto Escondido.
Puerto Escondido is a low rise resort that offers rental equipment, tour attractions, ecotours to lagoons, nightclub happy hours, luxury hotels, and beaches.

South on Route 200 to Huatulco will offer upscale resorts with five star resorts as well as bargain lodging. There are 33 beaches and nine bays in
tHuatulco. Find budget lodging is in the town of La Crucecita.
Taxis and collective cabs provide transportation to the beaches where you can find surfing on ocean beaches and snorkeling, diving and boat tours in sheltered bays.
La Crucecita's restaurants offer inexpensive breakfasts and afternoon menus of grilled fish and traditional foods.
From Huatulco you can get a bus or flight to the City of Oaxaca (warm
clothing required at night in the mountain cities.) and then Mexico City.
The alternate is travel north by bus along the coast road 200 to Acapulco.
Estrella Blanca Futura and Alta Mar buses cover the eight-hour bus route to Acapulco with seven trips a day.

To Reach Zipolite Beach,
Plenty of cabs are available in Pochutla
If you group with others you can split the fee and save, The trip fee is the same regardless of the number of passengers.
Another option is the collective cab and another is called Camioneta (explained), a pickup truck with a covered rear bed that makes frequent stops and charges a small fee.
Find the Camioneta stop across the street from the bus terminal and a few blocks west.
Bus First Class, OCC
Three Different Bus Routes reach the area of Zipolite and Mazunte through Puerto Escondido, Pochutla, and Huatulco on Oaxaca's Pacific Coast.
First Class Bus
ADO, First Class service (OCC Bus) reaches Pochutla via Huatulco. The route then goes Northwest along the coast to
Puerto Escondido via Sur Bus or OCC.
Estrella Blanca also serves the Pacific Coast with Alta Mar and Futura Buses.
Sur Bus is a local bus running to Pochutla and Huatulco from the ADO station on route 200 in Puerto Escondido
Juchitan and Salina Cruz are also first class transportation hubs for trips to Pochutla and Puerto Escondido from San Cristobal de las Casas and Palenque
Second Class Bus
Second Class buses run from Oaxaca City over Route 175 to Pochutla and over Route 131 to Puerto Escondido, making more direct runs over the mountains to the Pacific Coast beach towns near Puerto

Estrella Blanca Buses, Alta Mar and Futura, run bus routes to Puerto Escondido Pochutla from the northwest along the coast road Route 200.
Oaxaca's Zipolite Beach can be reached by taxi from the bus terminal in Pochutla.
Colective taxis can pick up passengers at the route 200 crossroads and at the church in Pochutla.
First Class Bus service leaves the first class terminal in Oaxaca City for Huatulco and then Pochutla. (10 hours)

Second Class bus service leaves Oaxaca City's Second Class terminal and goes over the mountains to Puerto Escondido or to Pochutla. (8 hours)
Difficult mountain driving
Van services make runs to Pochutla. (6 hours) and Puerto Escondido.
The mountain driving can be tough on those prone to motion sickness. Medicine is available over the counter (dramamine) for those taking the vans and for those particularly sensitive to motion sickness who will take the bus.
Transportation to Zipolite
Zipolite's one-street village offers internet cafés, a movie house, and weekend disco and a few good restaurants. Otherwise, there is not much to do but beach
Reach Mazunte and Puerto Angel's beaches nearby by taxi, collective taxi, or Camioneta. The collectives pick
up and drop off passengers all along Calle Principal, Route 175, the road that runs parallel to the beach.
Playa Panteon in Puerto Angel gives you the most relaxed swimming beach and a modern hotel with snorkel tours, scuba diving, and sightseeing boat tours leaving from the beach.
Zipolite can also be reached by air from Oaxaca's airport (OAX) to Puerto Escondido or Huatulco and then from bus southeast along the coast to Pochutla. from there a short (6 mile) taxi, collective taxi, or collective Camioneta ride reaches Zipolite.

Second Class Sur Bus
Sur Bus runs from the ADO station near the Super Che store
You can ask the driver of the second class or local bus to let you off at the Zipolite/ Mazunte crossroads and then
catch a collective taxi or Camioneta from there to Mazunte/Zipolite or you can stay on the bus until you reach Pochutla
Collective cabs also run between Pochutla and Puerto Escondido.
