slow trains form Roma

The slow trains will make more stops
and will offer first class seats or the
less expensive second class seating.  
The trip by
fast train is about an hour
and thirty five minutes
to Florence
(Firenze) and costs $91 USD first
class,  $68,USD second class.   
The  
slow  train  will take 3 hours to
reach Florence at a cost of $44. USD
second class and $54, first class.   
You can also get a
train to Pisa,
the northern section of Tuscany.  The
fast rain takes 2.5 hours and costs

The slow train takes a little over three
hours and costs $45 for second class,

Rome and Florence are sophisticated cities and could require formal dress in some restaurants
(Necktie suit jacket, dress)  The hilltowns of Tuscany will be casual dress throughout.
Rome has a climate similar to the mid USA at sea level, cool Dec. Jan. 40s but no ice or snow, warm
summers, June July August, 80s  possible light rain in Spring.
Florence and Pisa are north of Rome. Pisa is on the Mediterranean Coast.  Best months May June,
September October. Tuscany could be Crowded in July Augusts

When To Go To Tuscany, Italy:   
Mid March to Mid November
is a good time to visit Tuscany.  May and June, September and
October are Ideal.  
Winter months are without snow but could be cold in higher elevations.  Tuscany biking and
hiking is good any season.
March, April (41f-60 f) and May(50f-70f) and the early part of June (60f-80f ) are less
crowded and pleasant times to visit.    The end of June, and all of July and  August (60f-80f)
can be warm in the mid day and crowded at times as much of Europe takes its summer
vacation and many people head south.     
Summer months are warm and dry.  September to mid November (40f-60f) offers fewer crowds
and good weather.  Weather is ideal in May and June and September October, great months
to visit.
Showers could come in any month but will be infrequent in the summer, more frequent in
October.  Tuscany is agricultural land.  Sunflowers will be in bloom in June.  The wine
harvest will take place in September/Oacober.   Mid March to Mid November will find most
seasonal attractions open.
