Biografía   Héctor Palacios Flores

Héctor Palacios Flores estudió en
la Facultad de Filosofía y Letras,
Universidad Nacional Autónoma
de México.
Allí obtuvo la Licenciatura y
Maestría en Letras Inglesas.  
Luego hizo estudios de Post-grado
en San Diego State University,
California y en Columbia
University, New York.
Has vivido...

Has vivido en ese rincón,
dolido de carencias;
allí,
solo,
con el quejido en el hocico,
lames tu suerte,
miras tu abandono;
allí,
solo,
con el collar de tus penas,
arrastras tus días;
además,
envejeces,
no tienes nada,
no tienes a quien ladrarle;
tus hijos,
piensa, no saben lo que es darle mordidas al aire,
ignoran lo que es tragarse las palabras;
allí,
solo,
en tu rincón roes el hueso,
chupas la médula de la poesía.

You Have Lived

You have lived in this corner
sick of need;
there,
alone,
with the moan in your snout,
licking your luck,
seeing your abandonment;
there alone,
with the collar of your woe
dragging your days;
in addition,
you age,
you have nothing
you have no one to bark to;
your children,
think of it,
they don´t know what it is to bite the air and
to swallow words;
there,
alone,
in your corner,
you gnaw on your bone,
you lick on the marrow of poetry.
