Little Antelope slot Canyon
is an underground conduit
for rain waters and can
flood during thunderstorms.
The Navajo who run the
canyon will lower rope
ladders in an emergency
but it is best not to enter
when there is any threat of
storms even when the
storms are miles distant.
Our guide left us but was
never too far away. Several
other guides were in the
canyon throughout its length
for safety.
