Our Danube River Cruise Include a visit to
Linz Austria.
We Cruised the Danube from Passau Germany
to Budapest Hungary while we visited many
old world cities including linz, Austria.

The next afternoon we
arrived in Vienna, Austria.  
That evening we attended
a concert in a beautiful
concert hall where we
enjoyed beautiful music
and ballet.  
In the morning we toured
Vienna.

Once the river cruise started, the
quietness was wonderful.  We just
glided through the water.  The scenery
was spectacular, did not want to leave
the sky deck for lunch.  We passed
through numerous locks, a lot smaller
then the Panama Canal locks.

George and I  sailed the Danube River from
Passau, Germany to Budapest, Hungary
on the Avalon Waterways River Cruises
on the Poetry.  The 12 day tour left from
Boston, MA to Heathrow, London and then
on to Prague, Czech Republic where we met
up with the Globus Tours.  The tour included
3 nights at the modern Prague Hilton

That afternoon we arrived in Linz,
Austria.  They have a Woolworth’s.  The
Woolworth 5 &10 has been gone in
America for years.
That evening while on the riverboat we
watched a light show that reflected on
the river.

Nancy Santry has worked in the art department of a large
newspaper, a cable television station and is currently
working in the art department of a major supermarket chain.
Photographing first as a hobby and now in her own small
business, Nancy's photographs have won many art show
honors and have been published in Tourism brochures.
Nancy concentrates on photographing New England scenes
but also loves traveling and photographing in Europe.
