The “Cape Cod Rail Trail”, a former railroad bed now
turned bicycle path, and the Nauset Dune Trail and
Provencelands Dune Trails are paved bike trails that
wind through Beach forest and high dunes. Together
they contain over fifty miles of off-road bicycle and
walking trails.

tip of Cape Cod. From the parking lot adjacent to
Provincelands Dunes, (paid parking) connecting with the
Beach Forest Trail and The Race Point Trail. Both of these
trailheads have large public parking lots.

continue by bike to the windward Nauset Shore on
the Nauset Dunes trail or return to the Rail Trail via
Locust Road and follow the Rail Trail north (towards
Provincetown) and reach the end of the Rail Trail at
Lecount Hollow in the town of Wellfleet.
