  • Bus to Acapulco
From the beach area at Puerto Escondido it is a 25 pesos cab ride to the First Class/Second
Class bus station where the Estrella Blanca Buses leave for Acapulco.  
  • Bus Schedule
Buses start service at 7:00 am and end at 11:00 Pm   (Check ahead of your departure day,  these
schedules change)  It is an eight hour trip to Acapulco
The best option is to arrive in Acapulco with some daylight to spare if you will be searching for an
accommodation.  In the Estrella Blanca terminal there is a list of hotels and prices.  
Cab drivers can be helpful but they usually work with the hotels for a commission and they won’t
always give you good advice.  
  • Night Bus-Day Bus
The night bus out of Puerto Escondido will arrive at Acapulco in the morning and give you plenty of
daylight to find an accommodation.  (Check latest security blogs on Route 200 before booking a night
bus)
There are not many good options for night buses out of Acapulco to other beaches from the Estrella
Blanca Terminal except the night bus to Lazaro Cardenes but it is a local bus, not first class.
For this reason and for security it is best to take an early morning bus to Acapulco so that you arrive
in Acapulco with daylight to spare.   The 7 am Puerto Escondido bus will arrive in Acapulco at 3 pm
and give you four hours of daylight.

beaches on Acapulco Bay.  Golfing is
offered nearby and all the water toys are
available along the downtown high rise
hotel beaches.

There are also good options for camping
and budget accommodations.  Five miles
north of Acapulco in the area called Pie de
la Cuesta, along over five miles of
southwest facing open ocean beach you
can find camping and budget lodging.   
Local buses serve the area with frequent
service.  Several campgrounds offer shady
sites on the beach.
