Zipolite Beach
Oaxaca
Pacific Coast,
Mexico,
Zipolite's one-street village will keep you as tenuously
connected to the outside world as you want to be with an
Internet café and weekend disco.  Otherwise, you'll feel like
you've discovered a desert island.

Mazunte and Puerto Angel's beaches nearby offer more of
the same with a few upscale hotels. Playa Panteon in
Puerto Angel gives you the most relaxed swimming beach
and a modern hotel at $25 a night with snorkel tours, scuba
diving, and sightseeing boat tours leaving from the beach.

Zipolite too quiet for you, grab a $16 peso bus north to
Zicatela Beach, home of the Mexican Pipe-Line and its more
party-ready town of Puerto Escondido. Still remote
compared to the Mexican Riviera's Acapulco and Puerto
Valarta, Escondido offers a balance of rental equipment,
tour attractions, nightclub happy hours, luxury hotels, and
beaches. With lodging from $5 a night up to $150, every
budget can enjoy Puerto Escondido. Breakfast for $3.50:
Pancakes, fruit, and coffee, Dinner: $4.50 grilled Dorado,
Guacamole, tostadas steamed vegetables; you can't beat
the prices.

For those craving more orderly and sophisticated nightlife
but still wanting solitude at the beaches, a bus trip south to
Huatulco should satisfy. Senora Arsay Flores's Posada
Patio at $15 a night or Los Bugambillias Suites at $25 will
provide lodging in the tidiest town on the entire coast of
Mexico, Cruzacita. You'll be no more than 20 minutes from
31 beaches where you can surf, snorkel or snooze to your
hearts content.
Cruzacita's restaurants offer inexpensive breakfasts and
afternoon menus of Grilled Mahi-Mahi, Braised Beef and all
the traditional favorites at incredibly low prices.

From there you can get a bus or flight to the City of Oaxaca
(warm clothing required these cities are in the mountains)
and then Mexico City, or travel along the coast to Acapulco.
No need to spend more than $30 a day on these beaches
nor to pack more than a beach outfit and sandals.  Fish and
fruit come to the markets cheaply and in abundance, the
temperature hovers at 86, you'll find bus service efficient
and inexpensive, and the lodging incredibly reasonable and
except for christmas time, readily available.

Earthquake and hurricanes had set this region back in the
past few years but now they have rebuilt and welcome your
next escape from civilization. Don't wait!

                                          Zipolite Beach, Quality Hammock Time

Zipolite and Oaxaca's Pacific Coast beaches sound good to you? Can you stand solitude
and quality hammock time with not much else to do but swim, beach comb, and dine on
fresh grilled Dorado while sipping Margueritas by candlelight.

Your beach side hotel or posada can't get any quieter than those on Zipoite's  nude-optional
beach in the State of Oaxaca.

Zipolite is South of  Acapulco, and Puerto Escondido. Zipolite's mile of sandy  paradise
lures a few surfers, some European nudists, and a handful of independent travelers. For $13
a night you can book a room at Posada
San Christobal right on the beach with a restaurant,
bar, hammock, and lifeguard.  You need walk no further than 50 feet from your table to the
warm Pacific surf.
Zipolite, Puerto Escondido, Mazunte, and Huatulco, are quiet
Oaxaca
beaches where you can enjoy an inexpensive vacation
of surfing, kayaking,  lounging or Ecco touring.
