The Pacific Coast of Michoacan
State has many beaches open to
large waves. Playa Azule is one
of the notable beaches along with
Nexpa, both north of Lazaro
Cardenas. . The area of Playa
Azule is not developed and sees
tourism only during christmas/New
Years and Easter Vacation. A few
low rise hotels and many beach
palapas provide the
accommodations. There is ample
transportation via collective taxi to
the nearby city of Lazaro
Cardenals for first class bus
transportation to other beaches.

How to Reach Playa Azule, Michoacan
Buses leave Acapulco's Ejido terminal bound for Lazaro Cardenas. One block east of the terminal in
Lazaro Cardenas find the Galeana terminal. Across the main highway catch the collectivo (white van) for
Playa Azule: 15 pesos to Playa Azule.
Lazaro Cardenas is served by bus from many places in Mexico. First class and Local buses run along the
coast road, Route 200, and connect all the coastal towns and villages
