Sturgis has its 72nd anniversary in 2012 and celebrates August 6th to
the 12 th.
Sturgis is on Interstate I-90 a ride away from Mount Rushmore or from Badlands
National Park. During the second week of August the town of Sturgis will increase
its population to over 500,000, making it the most populous town or city in South
Dakota for a week.

to make rides in the surrounding hills and to take in the concerts, the end of

ride down main street and to park at the restaurant
for breakfast while looking at all the bikes of every
size and shape lined up. By the first weekend in
August many riders will have arrived for rides in

Rushmore is about 60 miles south, Deadwood
Keystone, Devils tower, and Spearfish
Canyon an easy day trip.
