Divide Cape Cod into three sections: Upper Cape, Mid Cape,  and Lower Cape for convenience,
All three are part of a sandy terminal moraine that is full of history but they differ in many ways and
offer the traveler a varied selection that will keep the Cape Cod vacation interesting.
Settled by the sons and daughters of the 1620 Pilgrims from England, the upper Cape can offer
tons of history including the oldest house on the Cape, the Hoxie House pictured above, along
with its dunes and beaches.
The Lower Cape on the other hand will offer the nature lover a solitude that prompted Henry
David Thoreau to visit several times and write a Journal, "Cape Cod"
The mid cape offers a little of both
This still wild land of dunes is also called the outer cape
Cape Cod is a summer vacation place, pleasant from May to October for
outdoor(weather) activities and mild year round allowing winter golf at some courses..
Cape Cod Vacation rentals (Link)are available at many resorts on the waterfront and in
the villages located near or on the
Cape beaches or on the shores of freshwater ponds.

The Cape's summer rentals offer
weekly rentals  weekend rentals, or seasonal rentals
that are near the dunes and located near the
bike trails.
The Cape Cod Rail Trail, Dunes trails and Shining Sea Trails  make the Cape a great
weekend or summer family vacation place because the paved bike trails through the
dunes and forests provide off-road, safe biking.
Carriages and wheel chairs are safely used on these biking and walking trails.

Cape Cod summer rentals by the weekend, the week, or the seasonal rentals offer
houses, cottages by the shore,
B&Bs in the villages, historic inns, and resort
packages in the all inclusive resorts that put the biking and all the attractions nearby.

Golf Packages are popular on the Cape where many fine courses offer nearly
all-season golf at all inclusive resorts that also offer family attractions nearby..
