Alta Vista Observatory, Tropic OF Cancer Ruin Site,

The tropic of Cancer is a point on the
earth north of which the sun does not
reach a Zenith.   Chalchihuites Ruin
site was a solar observatory for
tracking the Zenith event. at the
northern limit of Mesoamerica.
Alta Vista Ruin Site
was built as an
Observatory on the
Tropic of Cancer in
Zacatecas State,
Mexico, according to
research by
archaeologists.

The site was built by
people of the
Teotihuacan culture,
archaeologists believe,
because glyphs found at
Alta Vista or
Chalchihuites are similar
to those used by ancient
builders to lay out the
city of Teotihuacan.
This room called the Observatory was used to
observe the sun rise over the distant Chalchihuites
mountains.
The people of Chalchihuites  or Alta Vista as the ruin site is called used these rooms as a solar observatory for
tracking the rise of the sun over distant mountains and to predict the Zenith event at the northern limit of Mesoamerica.
